When
my son was 6 he had a bout of Angular Chelitis also known as "Perleche"
My wife and I thought nothing of it and it seemed to clear up after a
few days all by
itself. When Brad turned 14 he got it again. This time it stayed with
him for over 3 years. These
painful ulcers caused him embarrassment and
made social interaction uncomfortable for him.
Nothing the
doctors prescribed seemed to work. It
was a very angry skin infection

It was painful and the lesions often grew in size
and area. The corners of his lips turned a whitish hue. Opening
his

Over time it affected his
personality
I watched my son change in
personality from happy and outgoing to withdrawn and quiet. After a
year of this I was really starting to get anxious for my son. He was
and is a really good kid, but the barbs and jabs he got at school
obviously took a toll. He was called aids boy, syphillus face and
leper boy. When I heard about this, which he told me only after I
pressed him why he was so angry lately. I got
angry too!
We
decided to shop around for second opinions and quit our family doctor.

One day when Brad was 17
I was at our local library, when spontaneously, I decided to look up
